GALA Laboratories, a physician-owned laboratory subsidiary of United Pathology Associates, PLLC, was founded in 2007 when a team of enterprising gastroenterologists decided to take control of their histology needs by partnering to open their own laboratory. Since its inception, GALA has become a leader in the GI histology market, providing superior, high-quality pathology services to its customers.
\nReflecting a physician partnership that has expanded beyond the GI market into other areas of medicine, the GALA partners broadened their focus to include GYN Cytology. This led to the opening of our Cytology Laboratory in January 2017. This laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility featuring the latest technologies and a comprehensive test menu. In addition to performing Cytology Molecular Assays, the lab has added Molecular Stool Pathogen Analysis (GIP) to its testing offerings.

Technology<\/h3>\n

GALA Laboratories utilizes the most up to date technologies available to process your facilities pathology specimens. In our Histology department we process your specimens on the industry\u2019s first choice for tissue processing the Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI which provides exceptional reliability and innovation to ensure safe and high-quality processing.<\/p>\n

Within our Cytology and Molecular departments, we utilize the Hologic ThinPrep Pap test which was the first liquid based Pap test FDA approved\/cleared for HPV, Chlamydia\/Gonorrhea and Trichomonas testing out of the same vial. Our Cytology and Molecular departments also operate the full Hologic suite of instruments that includes the ThinPrep 5000 Processor and Imager, the Panther and the Review Scope Manual Plus to produce consistent, high quality slide preparations and proven molecular results.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
